Taster Days are designed to give you a hands-on experience of specific subject areas. They can also help you to decide what subjects you would like to go on to study in Higher Education. Our Taster days are insightful, informative and exciting and you may even have the opportunity to experience a real life Higher Education lecture.
You will explore the various routes into Teaching, followed by a question and answers session with current BA QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) students. You will also have to opportunity to get involved in an education debate based around the question: What is effective teaching and learning? Finally, you will take part in a carousel of exciting activities.
Master Classes are designed to help you gain more in-depth knowledge about the subject area that you want to study. These sessions can focus on a particular syllabus within a course and you may be able to gain real life experience of a Higher Education lecture. Healthy Ambitions A review of the skills and qualities required to work in the Health and Care sector alongside self-assessment of your own skills and qualities. Students will participate in a variety of practical activities to support personal development, which will be useful in preparation for CVs and personal statements, interviews for UCAS applications and for employment.
