Taster Days
Taster Days are designed to give you a hands-on experience of specific subject areas. They can also help you to decide what subjects you would like to go on to study in Higher Education. Our Taster days are insightful, informative and exciting and you may even have the opportunity to experience a real life Higher Education lecture.
Salon Success
An introduction to Beauty Therapy Management at Higher Education level and a demonstration in Aromatherapy and Reflexology. You will also have the opportunity to take part in discussions and develop their awareness of academic writing and assessment at HE level.
Please note that smart dress is essential: Plain black or navy blue trousers, white shirt and full flat shoes. No trainers or boots. Light make-up and neat hair.
Master Classes
Master Classes are designed to help you gain more in-depth knowledge about the subject area that you want to study. These sessions can focus on a particular syllabus within a course and you may be able to gain real life experience of a Higher Education lecture.
Master Class Makeover
You will take part in a discussion around Personal development Planning. You will look at techniques for academic writing in work based learning and gain insight into a particular module and presentation and design report writing. Please note that smart dress and good presentation are essential.
