Hosted by the Bradford Textile Society, the event was held at Salts Mill, a stunning UNESCO heritage site with its origins in the textile industry. The awards ceremony was attended by budding designers, established enterprises and organizations, teachers, students and others from the world of fashion and fabric manufacture and design.

Marking the start of National Apprenticeship Week, two Bradford College apprentices John Holland (22) and James Carroll (21) have had the opportunity to put what they have learnt on their Higher Level Apprenticeship in Construction and Built Environment (Sustainability) course, quite literally to the test. Beating off stiff competition from hundreds of apprentices across the country, they have made it into the national finals of a prestigious apprenticeship competition which will take place later this week at the Strand, London.
