National Student Survey Results Revealed…

The National Student Survey (NSS) is the biggest annual survey of final year students studying on higher education courses in England. Bradford College is proud to announce that our student satisfaction exceeds the national average in many areas of teaching and learning.
Some of the key results are grouped below by subject area:
Law
- 90% students were satisfied with the quality of their course which exceeds the national average of 81%
- 95% of students were satisfied with the teaching of their course, exceeding the national average of 83%
- 77% of students were satisfied with the advice and support received on their course, which exceeds the national average of 74%
- 80% of students were satisfied with the organisation and management of their course, exceeding the national average of 72%
- We boasted an overall student satisfaction rate of 90%, which is well above that of Law students studying at Universities in the region
Computing
- 84% of students were satisfied with the quality of their course which exceeds the national average of 81%
- 85% of students were satisfied with the teaching of their course, exceeding the national average of 83%
- 84% of students were satisfied with the advice and support received on their course, which exceeded the national average of 74%
- 77% of students were satisfied with the organisation and management of their course, exceeding the national average of 72%
- The overall student satisfaction rate for Computing students was 92%, which is well above that of Computing students who studied at other Colleges and Universities in the region
Business
- 77% of students were satisfied with the organisation and management of their course, which exceeded the national average of 72%
- Overall, the student satisfaction rate was 82%
Art and Design
- 82% of students are satisfied with the quality of their course which exceeds the national average of 81%
At College level both Law and Computing exceeded the national average of 81% for overall satisfaction and both young and mature students were equally satisfied with the teaching on their courses.
The National Student Survey (NSS) is an excellent opportunity for final year undergraduates to feedback on the student experience. Bradford College takes the findings of the (NSS) very seriously and is committed to the continued improvement of student satisfaction. A spokesperson for the Quality Improvement & Performance Unit at Bradford College said: “The results show that that the College continues to provide a quality experience for our students.”
