Kickstart Roadshow Launched!

Celebrity guest speaker, Mr Curtis Jobling

Bradford College in association with the Bradford Kickstart programme is delighted to launch the Bradford Enterprise Roadshow - a series of free events which aim to generate interest and awareness, inspire and excitement about enterprise.

On the 9th October 2009, Bradford College was proud to host the first of these innovative events, held at the Yorkshire Craft Centre and Henry Mitchell Hall.   Bradford College Executive Director of Finance, Mr Doug Stott, officially launched the first event, which was dedicated to Art & Media.

This was followed by a presentation from celebrity guest speaker Curtis Jobling.  Mr Curtis is the well loved author and illustrator, famously known as the designer of the BAFTA winning BBC show Bob The Builder, as well as creator of Frankenstein’s Cat.

During the highly successful roadshow, representatives from different organisations were also on hand to offer advice and guidance on getting a business idea off the ground, self employment and skill and training opportunities to help business grow and survive.

Delegates also had the opportunity to speak to individuals from different types of businesses about their early days, benefitting from a series of lively and informative seminars and hands-on workshops.
