
Bradford College Senior Lecturer and acclaimed Marketer, Dr Khosro Jahdi is a world renowned expert on the subject of Marketing Ethics and CSR. The impact of his work has contributed significantly to Marketing - the Education sector and beyond.

He has published an impressive list of papers and has co-authored and contributed to several books. His work probes controversial topics such as: ‘Marketing Communications and CSR :Marriage of Convenience or Shotgun Wedding?’ and ‘Do Ethical And/Or Green Policies Lead To Profit?,’ revealing and unravelling complex issue.
Outlining in more detail why he was approached to author and speak on the international stage, Dr Jahdi said: “I initially started writing as part of my PhD research. I then attended my first international conference in Cardiff in 2001.” Following the success of the conference, Dr Jahdi decided to join the Social Responsibility Research Network. Dr Jahdi explained: “After joining the network, I decided to attend as many conferences as possible. I’ve attended numerous international conferences hosted in the UK and have flown to events in: South Africa, Croatia, Madrid, Malaysia and Turkey.”
Dr Jahdi continued: “When you present a paper to an international group of people, it’s usually followed by a question and answer session. It gives people attending, the opportunity to find out more.” Khosro smiled and added: “One of the exciting parts of participating in these conferences is the opportunity to learn from each other… there’s lots of cross fertilisation.”
Dr Jahdi’s numerous research projects have attracted many offers of work from across the globe, bringing together partners from different marketing and management sectors. Khosro remarked: “It’s wonderful to work with people from different backgrounds. I’ve worked in collaboration with people from Australia and Turkey and there are plans in the pipeline to work in partnership with representatives from France and Italy.”
Plans are now underway to establish and create a ‘College Research Journal’. Khosro explained: “Ronan O’Beirne, Assistant Director for Learning Development has asked me to edit the papers, which will then be followed by a conference in November.”
Khosro’s extensive knowledge and experience spans over three decades; the students at Bradford College are delighted to benefit from such an acclaimed marketer. Khosro explained: “I try and keep my research methods up-to-date and whatever I learn I come back and report to the students. I find it stimulating to carry out research and share knowledge with others.”
