Bradford College is proud to announce award winning, classical realist painter and portrait artist to The Queen, Darren Baker, will receive an honorary fellowship during the College’s graduation ceremonies in December.
Darren, who graduated with a BA (Hons) in Art and Design from the School of Arts & Media at Bradford College in 1998, is one of five honorary fellows who will be recognised for outstanding service or support to the College or city and district of Bradford.
Bradford College Principal and Chief Executive, Michele Sutton, OBE said: “I am delighted that Darren has accepted his nomination. He is a shining example of what can be achieved with a degree from Bradford College and I am sure he will be an inspiration to our graduating students.”
Bradford College will host five graduation ceremonies at St. George’s Hall on Tuesday 6th and Wednesday 7th December. The graduation ceremonies will celebrate the outstanding service of the five honorary fellows and the academic success of 1,376 students who will receive awards validated by Leeds Metropolitan University, BTEC and professional bodies including the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Association of Accounting Technicians.

Throughout the ceremonies, graduates will be encouraged to celebrate their achievements with family, friends and college staff. Many students and their families from countries including Pakistan, India and China will make special trips from overseas to take part in the two days of celebration.
Bradford College has provided quality education and training in Bradford for over 175 years. It offers the widest range of Higher Education (University level) qualifications outside of the University sector in England delivering over 150 courses to over 3,000 students.
