- How will I know if the College will be open or closed?
The College will post updates on the College website, Facebook and Twitter sites. Please check for updates before starting your journey to College. - What time will a decision about whether the College will open be made?
The College makes an official decision about opening or closing at around 5am each day. The decision will be posted on the College website, Facebook and Twitters sites by 6am each day. - Where can I get updates about snow closures?
The College's Facebook and Twitter sites will be monitored by a team of web administrators throughout the day. Official snow closure announcements will be posted around 6am and the sites will be monitored and updated during office hours (posts uploaded after 6pm will not be answered until the following morning). Please observe the College’s acceptable behaviour policy and remember that bad language and offensive posts will NOT be tolerated on our sites. Bad language/offensive posts will be removed, we may make a note of your details and you may be blocked from using the site in the future. - EMA
If the College is open, but you fail to attend your lessons you will not be paid your EMA for the lessons/days that you miss. You will only be paid your EMA for the days when the College is officially closed. - If the College is closed will I still receive my EMA?
Yes – when the College is officially closed due to the snow, you will still be paid. You should hand your completed form in ASAP to your usual SID Office. - When should I hand my EMA form in?
You should hand your completed form in ASAP or as soon as the College re-opens to your usual SID Office. - If I have a complaint about my EMA what should I do?
You should put your complaint in writing and send it to: Kirsty Dwyer or Shirley Turnbul, Bradford College, Westbrook Building, Great Horton Road, Bradford, BD7 1AY. - Exams & Assignments
Where possible the College will post announcements about exams. In the event of a snow closure exams will be cancelled and rescheduled. Tutors will make allowances for assignment deadlines at their discretion. Please check with your tutor ASAP. Remember that you can email your tutors during snow days. - Library Books
