Students on the second year of Bradford School of Arts & Media’s Extended Diploma in Photography immersed themselves in food, glorious food, recently for a community arts project related to sports, fitness and healthy eating. The Power and Glory project built on the broader theme of the Olympics which students have been engaging with, looking as food as fuel for healthy bodies and minds.
The students researched professional food photography and diets and worked closely with Catering Academy chefs to photograph food being prepared in the College kitchens and also show the finished meals to best effect in the studio. They had to work as a team to produce quality food photography for a book and for large format prints to be displayed in all College Catering areas.
You can see some very tasty photography by Abbey Birden, Georgina Brennand, Demi-Marie Burns, Bruce Concepcion, Charlotte-Louise Cooper, Matt Dickerson, James Genchi, Thomas Haigh, Sami Howe, Kerry Hurle, Sam Johnson, Nidaa Mir, Sean Stratford, Lewis Taylor, Danielle Turner, Olivia Wilford and Hannah Woodcock in the gallery below.
However, please exercise caution when looking at these pictures - they are so gorgeous they will make you feel very hungry!
