History Wardrobe - a series of events bringing the past to life

History Wardrobe

We are delighted to present the first three dates in a series of exciting events bringing the past to life through the costumes and anecdotes of each age.The presentations are based on a wealth of intelligent research, presented in a witty style, with beautiful original and replica costumes.

College Cultural Events Manager, Clare Lamkin who arranged the series, explained "These exciting events will be very useful for students of Fashion, Performing Arts and Special Effects Make Up, but they have a wide appeal and everyone is welcome.  During 2010 we will be relocating our prestigious Textile Archive to its new home in the Old Building, so this focus on costume is a welcome taster for this. Each one promises to be lots of fun as well as informative. The actor playing Mr Darcy in the third one is a highly regarded fencing instructor and fight director."
