Hallmark Project winners
After a thorough perusal of all the submissions it was agreed to offer the placements to Daniel Hill and Carmel McHugh.
Daniel’s e-greetings really impressed Angie and Jill.
Daniel was delighted. “I am going to be working in the Humour Department. Imagine being paid to go to work to have a laugh! It must be the best thing in the world, especially for me as I am addicted to laughing! I am thrilled to have this opportunity as I think e-cards are very exciting. Some of the stuff out there is pure genius but very often it is just embedded into websites and much more could be done. I feel that I would be developing my skills in a very new and modern area. I couldn’t be happier about it.”
Angie and Jill felt that Carmel’s designs really stood out.
Angie said "I am really looking to working at Hallmark. I hoped I had done well but I really liked a lot of people’s work so I wasn’t expecting this. All my family have been involved in greetings cards for two generations so I have grown up surrounded by them and it is a local industry where there are lots of opportunities. This placement is a foot on the ladder.”
