“As usual the Show encompassed jewellery, interiors, design, architecture, paper sculpture, costumes, fashion, fine art based textile work, ceramics and experimental animation. As well as the diverse range of student concerns coming out in the work there was a marked move towards a conceptual art and installations by students going forward to do fine art, where they were based in 3D or fine art/printmaking. There was considerable evidence of printmaking in this year’s show which was quite daring on the most part.
Our students re in great demand; indeed, some degree programmes have been strident in trying to recruit students who have attended interview. Students will be taking up places on specialist courses the length and breadth of the UK as well as progressing to degree programmes within the School of Arts & Media in the autumn.”
