Bradford School of Arts & Media’s Summer Show 2012 proved aspirational, inspirational and downright sensational as students from all the degree and pre-degree courses exhibited their final major projects from 21st to 28th June in the Lister Building and Yorkshire Craft Centre. A photographer from the local press summed up the reaction of many visitors, expressing astonishment at the sheer wealth and diversity of work on display, and also wishing he could enrol!
Coming to the show was the perfect opportunity for anyone wanting to see what happens in an art school, find a creative employee, or simply talent spot. Given the sheer range and quantity of work exhibited, it is only possible to highight a fraction. However, you can enjoy a flavour of this explosion of creativity here:
Damien O'Keeffe, Curriculum Team Leader for Media, Music & Performing Arts, commented "The School of Arts & Media Summer Show is a combination of showcase and celebration; it is a fantastic opportunity for our creative students to really demonstrate their talents. It is also a fitting end to what has been an interesting and sometimes challenging year. To stand in front of such excellent and exciting work - knowing how much hard effort has gone into its creation by both students and staff - is a pleasure and a privilege."
