Bradford School of Arts & Media Summer Show 2010

Summer Show 2010 - image of stained glass dome in Lister Building by James ThompsonThis year our summer show is bigger and better than ever,  combining our degree and pre-degree programmes for an explosion of new talent and creativity!

Programme Managers for the School of Arts & Media summarised the unique appeal of this year’s event. Nathan Kelly enthused, “This is an outstanding example of the excellent work the students are capable of achieving. Our graduates clearly demonstrate a level of work that is far above any expectation.”

Baljit Panesar commented, “Feedback from external examiners and visitors to the show has confirmed my own opinion that this year’s Summer Show characterises what Bradford College is all about. Both progression and distance travelled are very evident. That students can come here at sixteen and continue until degree, attaining at a high level, comes through really well. This journey is cleverly captured in a simple idea that the National Diploma in Graphic Design students have used, creating a trail that mimics the old PacMan computer game, which directs visitors up the stairs and down the corridors leading all the way to their displays until the final destination is reached and there is a sign saying ‘level complete.’”

Virtually every space in the Lister Building and Yorkshire Craft Centre has been utlised to display work. While it is obviously impossible to show work from all the final major projects here, we have handpicked some highlights from selected courses to celebrate this collective success.
