Higher Apprenticeship in Sustainable Built Environment

Course Overview

This Apprenticeship provides the vocational knowledge and skills necessary to those pursuing a career in a variety of disciplines including architecture, surveying, planning, maintenance, construction management, building services or civil engineering.


You will have the opportunity to apply critical reasoning and analysis techniques to solve built environment and engineering problems, using industry standards, appropriate codes of practice and work-based evidence; developing personal and business skills, which will enable you to contribute to the demands of a professional environment.

There are three pathways available so you can specialise in Construction & the Built Environment, Building Services Engineering or Civil Engineering.

Entry Requirements

A BTEC Extended Diploma, Diploma or Subsidiary Diploma or a level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship or 2 A levels at Grade A*-E. One A Level Grade C or above, or two at Grade E (UCAS tariff 80 points). Alternative qualifications and appropriate experience may also be considered.
