BEng (Hons) Metallurgy and Materials

Course Overview

The BEng (Hons) in Metallurgy and Materials meets the widening participation agenda by offering access to lifelong learning.

The programme has been developed as a 'student-centred provision' which has been designed to meet employer and industry requirements in terms of flexibility, along with offering a diverse metallurgy, materials and engineering curriculum.

This course is run as a Top-up from our Metallurgy and Materials Foundation Degree and is an ideal course for those wishing to eventually progress into a career in management.

UK and EU tuition fees

Entry Requirements

A Foundation Degree in Metallurgy and Materials or equivalent, Higher National Diploma in Metallurgy and Materials, Engineering, or Science equivalent (for these you will be required to complete Bridging Modules). BEng (Hons) or BSc in Engineering, Science, or equivalent (with Bridging Modules). Higher Education Diploma in a Engineering, Science, or equivalent, with completed Bridging Modules, in exceptional circumstances mature candidates and entrants with non-traditional qualifications will be assessed for their suitability and entry point by the use of Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) or Experiential (APEL), and the completion of required Bridging Modules.
