Casting Technology FdSc

Course Overview

This new and innovative provision is delivered by distance learning. During your studies you will have the opportunity to attend seminars and lectures at either the College’s main campus, Trinity Green campus or an external venue.
The course has been designed in consultation with the cast metals industry to meet the ever increasing demand of this sector.
The course will offer you the opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills that are needed within the cast metals industry.
 

Entry Requirements

A wide range of qualifications will be considered by our Admissions Team. These normally include an appropriate Level 3 qualification (eg Advanced Apprenticeship).
If you are a mature applicant without formal qualifications, you will be invited for an interview with a view to incorporating your work experience into our Accreditation of Prior and Experiential Learning (APEL) which, in some cases, will provide exemption from some Modules or elements of Modules.
Holders of a Higher national certificate/Diploma will be considered for direct entry to Level 2 of the course by means of our Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL).
