Bradford College has a long history of providing legal education which stems from delivery of A level law through to the Foundation Degree in Law and Legal Practice, delivered for the first time in 2008/9, and established degree programmes, as well as delivering law in other areas such as ILEX (Institute for Legal Executives), and CLC (Council for Licensed Conveyancers) courses.
This comprehensive College portfolio provides students with the opportunity to study full law programmes or just specific aspects of law, to study an academic course appropriate to their personal or professional needs.

This degree is the perfect choice if you wish to work within the Criminal Justice System in a capacity other than as a barrister or solicitor.
The course is made up of a combination of diverse and absorbing modules, dealing with both legal and social welfare issues.
A wide range of legal modules such as Family law, Criminology, English Legal Process and Immigration law are delivered with Social Welfare modules such as Sociology, Social Policy, & Mental Health and Disability.
Your course will consist of lecture and seminar work, with supported and guided independent study.
A variety of teaching methods are used including lectures, seminars, independant research and group work.
There will be a wide variety of assessment methods including: examinations, assignments, portfolios, presentations, dissertation, and assessed moots/client counselling.

On successfully completing the course, your degree could lead to a broad range of opportunities in the police force, the youth justice service, customs and excise, the probation service, the courts service, drugs prevention services or immigration services.
You will need ta minimum of two A Levels equivalent to approximately 240 UCAS points, or AVCE (minimum of 12 units), or BTEC National or equivalent or Access Course, or the international equivalent. If you are a non-standard applicant, these formal entry requirements may not be necessary. Entry will be based upon your ability to demonstrate the capability to complete, and benefit from, the course.
If you successfully complete the College`s Foundation Degree in Law and Legal Practice, you will be eligible for direct entry to Level 2 of this degree.
