Bradford College has a long history of providing legal education which stems from delivery of A level law through to the Foundation Degree in Law and Legal Practice, delivered for the first time in 2008/9, and established degree programmes, as well as delivering law in other areas such as ILEX (Institute for Legal Executives), and CLC (Council for Licensed Conveyancers) courses.

This is an interesting and rewarding Foundation degree in Law and Legal Practice. On successfully completing the course you will have direct access to Level 2 of the LLB, BA(Hons) Criminal Justice Studies, BA(Hons) Accountancy and Law, BA(Hons) Marketing and Law, or BA (Hons) Law IPOS. The course provides a rewarding route to legal practice by combining academic aspects of law with more practical modules and work experience.
A two year course delivered over four semesters.
The modules you will study include: English legal process, Criminal law, Civil and Criminal litigation and Family law and Practice. You will also have the opportunity of a work placement.
You will attend lectures and seminars and also be expected to undertake guided and supported independent study.

Various assessment methods are used in your course and will include examinations, presentations and assignments.
You will undertake a work placement module as an important part of your second year of study.
On successfully completing the course, you will be able to go on to Undergraduate study with direct entry to level two of our degree programmes. If you decide not to pursue further study, then you may enter the legal profession as a fee earner/paralegal. It will also be a useful qualification for those wishing to enter employment in areas such as insurance work which requires knowledge of the litigation process.
You will need one A Level, AVCE, ASVCE or equivalent and GCSE Mathematics and English or the equivalent. If you are a non-standard applicant, entry will be based on an interview in which you must show you have the capability to complete, and benefit from, the course.
