Bradford College has a long history of providing legal education which stems from delivery of A level law through to the Foundation Degree in Law and Legal Practice, delivered for the first time in 2008/9, and established degree programmes, as well as delivering law in other areas such as ILEX (Institute for Legal Executives), and CLC (Council for Licensed Conveyancers) courses.
This comprehensive College portfolio provides students with the opportunity to study full law programmes or just specific aspects of law, to study an academic course appropriate to their personal or professional needs.

Our LLB (Hons) programme recognises the need to provide an academically challenging degree which will provide you with a sound knowledge of legal concepts and an understanding of the operation of law in society. A wide range of legal and business electives are available and you will be able to use these to study areas relating to your personal, vocational and academic interests.
This Honours degree consists of six semesters, taken over three years of full-time study.
This Solicitors Regulation Authority / Bar Council qualifying Law degree contains the seven core law subjects. These are: Contract, Tort, Criminal Law, Public Law, Equity and Trusts, Land Law and European Law. These professionally required core modules are supplemented with a range of electives including Immigration law, Consumer Law, Commercial Law, Jurisprudence (legal philosophy), and Family law.
The aim is to involve you in your own learning and for you to develop legal skills transferable to a successful career after graduation.
A wide range of teaching methods are used including lectures, seminars, workshops and visits.
The programme uses a variety of methods to assess you, including in-course assignments, presentations, dissertation and examinations.

The structure of the programme offers a wide range of exciting career options in the legal and business world. These include working as a solicitor, barrister or legal executive, working in local and national government. for the Inland Revenue Service, in insurance, banking and finance or in a variety of public service roles.

The College welcomes applications from non-standard applicants who do not satisfy these entry requirements, provided the applicant can demonstrate that, by virtue of other studies and/or experience, they are capable of coping with or benefiting from the course.
