
This course is designed to provide you with a broad practical experience. You will gain excellent training from chefs and food service staff who have worked, or continue to work, in the catering and hospitality industry.
You will cover all aspects of kitchen and food service operations, learn skills in food preparation and cooking and master food and drinks service skills.
You should be aged 16-19 and have VRQ/NVQ Level 1 in Hospitality (Food Preparation & Cooking and Food & Drink Service) and GCSE English at Grade D or above or an appropriate Functional or Basic Skills Qualification.
You will need to demonstrate, in an initial assessment at your interview, that you are working at an appropriate level.
You should also have a keen interest in the catering industry.
