When to Apply
For the PGCE Primary course, you should apply as soon as possible from the beginning of September (usually the 15th), the year before you want to commence your course. The deadline for Primary applications is the 1st December.
It is unlikely anyone applying after the 1st of December will be considered. This is because we have to consider everyone who applies before the deadline first, and then consider anyone who applies as a late applicant.
We normally receive 500 applications per year for the PGCE primary course.
For the Secondary and Vocational courses we operate a first come first served policy. When a Secondary or Vocational course is full, we will inform the GTTR and will no longer accept new applications.
Please meet these deadlines to give yourself a reasonable chance of gaining a place on your chosen course.
