How to Apply If You Are Not At School or College

Independent Applicants in the UK

students at work

Other UK applicants, who are not at school or college, apply independently and are responsible for paying the correct application fee, submitting the completed application online to UCAS. Your referee should know you well enough to write about you and your suitability for Higher Education. UCAS will not accept references from family, other relatives or friends.

Please note:

Please do not copy your personal statement, as UCAS has software to detect if you do copy a statement from another applicant.

You will need to make your payment online using a Credit or Debit card. The card need not be in your own name, but you will require consent of the cardholder.

The application fee for this service is £9 for a single choice, or £19 for more than one choice.

Please contact UCAS on, telephone: 0871 4680468 or the UCAS website at www.ucas.com
