How to Apply For a Higher Education Course
Applying Online at UCAS
All applications to study for a full-time Higher Education courses at Universities and Colleges in the UK are made through using: Apply - an online application system available at www.ucas.com.
The application fee for this service is £7 for a single choice, or £17 for more for than one choice.
Students at a School or College Registered With UCAS
All UK schools and colleges are registered with UCAS to manage their student's applications. You will need to obtain a 'buzzword' from your Tutor or Careers advisor, which you will need when you register with UCAS.
This establishes the organisation from which you are applying and allows your referee to attach your reference. Once you have completed your application, you submit it to your referee who will send the completed application to UCAS on your behalf.
You pay for your application either by Credit or Debit card online, or by paying your School or other registered centre who will then pay UCAS.
