At the Yorkshire Craft Centre and the Bradford Gallery we exhibit work by visual artists, designer makers and crafts people. We do not buy work outright but instead exhibit work to be sold on a commission basis. We rely on the commission on sales for general running costs and also to finance a lively exhibition programme.
We have a very exclusive and beautiful Gallery and showcase area (formally a dye house for the teaching of textile colouration) with dedicated display space. Our staff are knowledgeable, coming from design and visual art backgrounds and are able to display work creatively. We can dedicate time to customers, helping them choose the right item for an occasion or gift.
The Yorkshire Craft Centre aims to promote the works of designer makers/fine craftsmanship and the creativity of visual artists. We invite all forms of crafts, visual arts and designers to approach us with proposals for exhibitions or to be included in selling shows. If you want to approach us about a proposed exhibition in our spaces or for us to include your work in a selling exhibition then please send your information through the post to the Events and Exhibitions Coordinator, Clare Lamkin.
