Lister Building Centenary Exhibition

Lister Building painting by Clare Caulfield

The Lister Building was opened by Lord Rotherham on 25th October 1911 to house the College’s state of the art textile facilities which were ‘a mill in miniature’. Evolving educational needs have meant that the heavy plant of the wool industry gave way to studio and lecture spaces. Today the Lister Building houses courses in arts and media, performing arts, music law, as well as fashion and textiles.

The Centenary Exhibition includes artefacts, photographs and artwork celebrating the building’s rich history. It showcases the work of current and former staff and alumni, demonstrating the colour and creative talent that has always been synonymous with this building.
