Darren Baker Exhibition

Darren Baker exhibition at the Yorkshire Craft Centre

Cathedral Light (2006) by Darren BakerThe eagerly awaited return to Bradford College of multi award winning classical realist painter Darren Baker has resulted in an unforgettable exhibition at the Yorkshire Craft Centre.  If you have never viewed Darren's paintings except on screen, now is your opportunity to see for yourself why he has experienced such acclaim since graduating from Bradford School of Art in 1998.

This retrospective exhibition traces Darren's artistic journey and includes items never previously exhibited, work loaned by many generous collectors and new work for sale.

Darren's precious talent was clearly visible at age six, when he won an Ashley Jackson competition organised by the local newspaper and we are delighted that Darren found this incredibly accomplished piece of art in his shed! The exhibition also includes a few items from his degree show, including a painting of his parents and sister as The Holy Family, plus a dazzling selection showcasing his mature talent.

Darren's extraordinary breadth of style and media means that there is something for everyone to enjoy here - landscapes, architecture, still-lives, sporting heroes, animals or other glamorous creatures!
