Be Dazzled '09
Our annual extravanganza of enchantment returns with special somethings lovingly created by designer/makers to ensure that festive shopping is a treat not a chore.
Exhibition runs from 20th November until 18th December. Gallery open Monday to Friday, 10.30am until 4pm, except the 18th December when Be Dazzled closes at 12 noon.
As usual we will be holding a special evening opening on 26th November until 8pm.
This year, Gallery II and The Yorkshire Craft Centre have worked in partnership, to provide two great venues for people to come and purchase fantastic and unique gifts from a range of high quality fine and applied arts & hand-crafted items.
Gallery II’s show, A Feast For The Eyes, will share the opening night with the Yorkshire Craft Centre’s show Be Dazzled. Guests are invited to Gallery II, from 4 – 6pm, for the 'first course' in this banquet of collectables, the 'second course' continuing at the Yorkshire Craft Centre until 8pm.
In A Feast for the Eyes, visitors will be treated to a carefully constructed installation where makers' work is presented and arranged in a style that typifies the richness of 17th Century Dutch Still Life paintings. Visitors are then encouraged to continue to the Bradford Gallery at the Yorkshire Craft Centre, for Be Dazzled, a showcase exhibition of covetable contemporary crafts and visual arts including glass, textiles, ceramics, painting & print making, jewellery and more…
