“I have enjoyed my experience as the AA2A jewellery fellow here at Bradford College. I have been able to focus on jewellery design without commercial restraints and make use of the fantastic workshop facilities here.
My intention was to highlight the beauty of the cut gemstone and pursue my gemmological interests using gems which are rare and not often used in jewellery. The featured gemstones have been cut by a friend, Dennis Durham, a lapidarist from Hull, who has the skill to reveal their stunning beauty and colour.
I hope this exhibition will encourage other artists to apply to AA2A.
