In 2007 the Training Quality Standard (TQS), a new national quality mark which verifies the quality of services to employers, was introduced by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC).
The Training Quality Standard assesses training providers against a series of criteria covering employer responsiveness and sector expertise.
On 8th May 2008 at the TQS launch Jaine Clarke, Director of Skills for Employers, LSC, said: “Crucial to increasing employer investment in the skills of their workforce is the ability to identify and select training providers who can deliver high quality, flexible and responsive provision that is directly relevant and addresses the skills gaps in their business - the Training Quality Standard will take the guesswork and the pain out of the process for employers.’’
Bradford College achieved TQS accreditation in 2008.
