Part-time EFL classes on the main campus at Bradford College
-
At Bradford College main campus (Old Building), there are part-time EFL classes available at a range of different levels. These are full fee-paying courses for people from overseas and the EU. You will usually study for four hours a week over two evenings (6-8pm). Not all levels are available at all times. Maximum class size is 18.
-
2009-10 groups are as follows: KET, PET and CPE classes will run Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6-8pm. FCE and CAE classes will run Mondays and Wednesdays, 6-8pm. Class placement testing will take place Mondays and Wednesdays, 6-8pm - please make an appointment in the SID Office, B16, Old Building and specify that you would like to join the part-time EFL group (or call 01274 433434 to speak to the SID Office).

You can prepare for a range of international EFL examinations such as Cambridge (UCLES) main suite and IELTS examinations. The exams can be taken in December and June (and sometimes in March), but a minimum number of candidates is required. Entry for the examinations is not compulsory and you will be assessed in class before entry to an exam is approved. Bradford College is a Centre for the Cambridge Main Suite examinations, and we can advise you where to take an IELTS examination, but Bradford College is not an IELTS Centre. If there is sufficient interest, the English Language Centre can organise IELTS examinations to take place at Bradford College.
Please note, non-EU international students on Tier 4 General Student Visas can only study part-time as a second course in addition to a full-time main course. This class will not be accepted as a full-time course of study for the purposes of visa applications.
You will follow a part-time course for four hours per week over two evenings. There are tuition fees for all students studying EFL. You can join at any point during the term and the fees will be adjusted accordingly.

How to apply to join a part-time EFL class on the main campus at Bradford College
-
If you would like to join an EFL class on the main campus, you must first take a placement test in the English Language Centre before you can enrol. This is to check which class is the most suitable for you.
-
It is important that you come on time for your test. If you arrive late, you will have to book another date.
-
Once you have taken the placement test, you can then enrol. Enrolment on part-time English Language courses is in Westbrook Building on C Floor.
