At Bradford College main campus (Old Building), there are part-time EFL classes available at a range of levels, from pre-intermediate to advanced. Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) classes can be organised if there is sufficient demand.
Our General English lessons include: grammar, vocabulary, reading, listening, writing and speaking skills work.
These are full fee-paying courses for people from overseas and the EU. You can study for four hours a week over two evenings (6-8pm), or choose our IELTS preparation classes during the day. Not all levels are available at all times. Maximum class size is 18.
You can prepare for the full range of Cambridge (UCLES) Main Suite examinations, including KET, PET, FCE, CAE and CPE. These exams can be taken in March and June; a minimum number of candidates is required. Entry for the examinations is not compulsory and you will be assessed in class before entry to an exam is approved. Bradford College is a Centre for the Cambridge Main Suite Examinations.
Sessions run from 18.00 - 20.00 over two evenings (four hours per week).
These classes are designed for students specifically training for the IELTS examination used by British and international universities to measure a student’s ability to study or train in English in Further or Higher Education.
These classes allow students to work on each of the four skills needed for the exam (reading, writing, listening and speaking), as well as grammar and vocabulary workshop sessions with individual feedback and exam practice each week.
Our IELTS-specific classes are available Monday and Wednesday, 14.15 - 16.15, and Tuesday 14.15 - 17.15. You can study for either 6 or 7 hours per week. We recommend 7 hours per week tuition for best results.
Although Bradford College is not an IELTS Examination Centre, we are more than happy to advise and support students regarding applications for IELTS exam entry and provide information on the nearest centres).
Please note, non-EU international students on Tier 4 General Student Visas can only study part-time as a second course in addition to a full-time main course. This class will not be accepted as a full-time course of study for the purposes of visa applications.
